The Links and Some History

About a million years ago (we don't know for sure...), the ice melted, the water ran off, and created this part of the country. The aftermath resulted in the Purcell Trench, a carved out swath of land from the center of British Columbia south to Coeur d'Alene and ending in the Rathdrum Prairie. At the southwestern tip of this trench resides the Verdant Gem known as The Links Golf Club.

There was a man, Emmet Burley was his name and golf was his game - and his life and dreams, too. As a local businessman, he saw the value of land purchase and ownership. He indeed purchased many acres north of Post Falls and south of the BNSF tracks. Many of those acres became what you see today as The Links Golf Club.

The late Mr. Burley designed, laid out, rode the machinery, put down the stakes and created this golf course. The Course Superintendent, Mike Grilley, GCSAA, has been responsible for the exquisite condition and meticulous care of The Links Golf Club from the very beginning, as shown in the photos below. Cook in the Kitchen
We are fully open and serving the tasty creations of our Chefs with a new grill, new counter and seating areas. Most of all we have a brand new kitchen to begin providing what will no doubt be a new menu (MENU) filled with appetizing and appealing (of course, tasty and scrumptious) fare to our golfing public before or after your round (real or simulated...) or any time for that matter.
